MUJCへようこそ! So, a "little" about me. I"m currently in my 2nd year of my Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Japanese with a Linguitics minor.
I returned from Kobe, Japan, in February last year (and started uni the next day!) from an 18 month holiday working visa stint. I worked as an English teacher (loved it!) in my city"s central branch of Nova, a company that financially collapsed in November 2007. I spent the remainder of my visa travelling and drowning in the final 3 months of my stay. In 2005 I studied Japanese full-time at RMIT TAFE as the first step in my journey and as preparation for my trip"s ambigous goal of cultural immersion. It was a time of my life that has influenced me in every way possible. At the end of my current course I plan to return to Japan and reach a high enough fluency to being a career in interpreting/translating.

So, with the background check out of the way (!), I hope to see you around campus and/or at any of our regular events. Never hesitate to flag me down for an interrogation (or chat)!

こんにちは！As you can probably tell from my name - it"s 『華帆』 pronounced as『はなほ』 - I"m Japanese and have been living in Australia for the past 15-ish years, though I go back to Japan every year or so. I"m currentlyin 3rd Year Science (yes, the non-Melbourne Model one) majoring in Neuroscience/Anatomy. I can tell we're going to have an AWESOME year at the Japanese Club this year, so look forwards to it!! Hey everybody :D I"m studying Computer Science in the Engineering Faculty and am taking Japanese 4 as my elective. I"m one who you could only call obsessed with modern Japanese culture, with a passion in Japanese Video Games and Music in particular (UVERworld rocks my world!). I went to Japan back in 2005 for exchange and am looking forward to going back (one day...). Other random things include about me include that I have lived in China for 3 years and am actually really bad at my degree^^. If you have any questionsor inquires and am too scared to ask anyone else (don"t be, their nice people) throw me an e-mail and I"ll see what I can do!

MUJCにいらっしゃい！I"m Lizzie and I"m currently studying Arts at Melb Uni, doing a double major in International Politics and Japanese! I love anything to do with Japanese culture, from the food to the disciplines, and most of all the people! I"m a complete otaku who reads manga, watches anime, does kendo and cosplays along with jamming in music in my spare time, and I hope to bring the learning of Japanese language and culture more interactively to you guys in the club as your Education Officer!　どぞよろしくお願いします！ =)

Hi everyone, welcome to the Melbourne University Japanese Club. With the new committees elected, its going to be one of the best clubs around in Melbourne Uni!!! Im Hiroki and i will be the activity officier. Ill be in charge of all the events and fun little things of the club. These may include Nomikai, karaoke, kaiwa and hopefully a Japanese Camp!
